口译服务对象通常包括发言人、嘉宾、听众等,会议的听众往往是业内人士。因此,译员在口译时应注重专业术语的准确程度,因为会议将是他们把握业界最新动态的窗口。而对于发言人和嘉宾,译员应该尽可能获得他们的姓名、性别、职务、头衔、服务机构、国籍等信息。如果有可能的话,译员应该在会议开始前向他们索取名片或上网查找他们的履历、服务机构等,以减轻现场口译的压力,尤其是防止忙中出错的尴尬。
